The
Raptor Trust
The Raptor Trust was founded in 1983 as a group in Norfolk, England,
purely run by volunteers, to treat sick and injured birds of prey
and to alert the public to the need to protect and conserve both
birds of prey and the habitat in which they live.
The Raptor Trust also aims to educate the public about our birds
of prey through attending a variety of shows, giving demonstrations
and free school visits.

The
Suffolk Owl Sanctuary
The sanctuary is another bird of prey centre found in East Anglia.
They are a registered charity comprised of a team of dedicated falconers
and volunteers committed to the welfare of the owls and other brids
of prey who live at the centre. There a daily flying demonstrations,
a raptor hospital with information about owls.

The
Hawk Board
The Hawk Board works to protect falconry and the keeping of birds
of prey by collecting and collating scientific evidence on all aspects
of captive birds of prey. It also endeavours to make sure that the
standards of bird of prey keeping are of the highest in the UK. |

The Independent Bird Register was set up in 1994 to reunite lost,
found and stolen hawks, falcons and owls. The IBR issues breeders
and split rings for all birds of prey. |

The
Campaign for Falconry
The Campaign for Falconry started life in 1997 as an initiative between
The Hawk Board and the Countryside Alliance. Its whole reason is to
raise funds and awareness to defend falconry and the keeping of all
birds of prey. |

DEFRA
Defra works for the essentials of life - water, food, air, land, people,
animals and plants. They would be the contact for all legislative
enquiries regarding raptor conservation and captive birds of prey. |
