Welcome to Reef!

Reef is a young Harris Hawk who hatched here at the centre after being artifically incubated. As Reef was quite a large chick it was thought that he was a she, however as he has grown it has become obvious that he is definitely male.

He has made excellent progress and has just been moved from his nursery quarters into an aviary to give him a chance to really stretch his wings and experiment with his power of flight.

Reef will evenutally be used to teach our course students as well as accompanying one day fun day students through the woods surrounding the lake.
