Love is in the air and owlets are on the way.

Our European eagle owl, Dutch who has done stirling service in our seasonal displays has found love at last. His mate a feisty female by the name of Ember has been kindly loaned to Fritton Lake Falconry by Tim and Tina of Out of a Wing Falconry based near Thetford. Dutch is clearly fond of his new love and is playing the perfect gent by presenting her with gifts of food.

To give them space to forge a relationship Dutch and Ember have been housed in one of our largest aviaries complete with a private space for their nest scrape which Dutch has been busily constructing - Quite tiring work judging by his constant 'chugging' noises.

Make sure that you come back and check for signs of cute baby owl chicks.
